Saint Mary's  Mission Statement

At Saint Mary School, our mission is to obtain an outstanding education with an emphasis on Catholic doctrine, academic excellence, and moral and social responsibility.

We are encouraged to develop the skills necessary to become life-long learners.  As models of the Christian faith, we strive to be active and productive citizens in an ever-changing society.

Philosophy of Saint Mary School

Saint Mary School is a Catholic elementary school. We are a partnership of staff, students, parents, and community that provide challenging educational opportunities that nurture the total development of every child.  .As educators, we foster a love for their own culture with a simultaneous acceptance of others.  Our goal is to build a community based on Jesus' command to love one another.  By living and learning in a faith community children become caring and concerned members of the total human community.

As a Catholic school, we accept each student as a child of God. We strive to instill a desire in every child to be an active member of his or her faith community. The students are guided to the realization that they are called to be peacemakers and to respond to Christ’s message by devoting their efforts to God, to self, and to others within the school, the community, and the world.

Saint Mary School develops an active awareness of cause and effect -- what we do as individuals, a nation, or a world affects all people.  We aspire to rise to every challenge knowing that this higher expectations for those around us and ourselves, the greater our level of accomplishment.
